Mike & Cindy Edson
Cindy Edson and her husband, Mike, have been caring for vulnerable people across the globe for over 40 years.
For the past 20 years, Cindy Edson has been working with special needs orphans in Uzbekistan.
Prior to that, Cindy worked in India and Pakistan providing relief for a wide range of needs including refugees, underserved women, and orphans. Her work focused in both isolated rural areas as well as urban slums which were in need of medical care and basic hygiene.
Currently, Cindy has been collaborating with the Ministry of Health and other government departments, to establish a Transition Center for special needs young adults. For the past three years special needs young adults have been learning social and independent life skills in this Transition Center as well being trained in a variety of vocations – cooking, sewing, hairdressing, jewelry making, massage therapy, computer skills, and art.
None of this would have been possible without the team of committed, loving nationals that have worked with Cindy and Mike from the beginning.
